The Miracle of the Message

Radio, TV, internet, magazines, newspapers, billboards and even bumper stickers.  We are inundated with messages.  Our eyes and our minds are constantly flooded with messages that inform, challenge, and even overwhelm us.  Even in the midst of the Christmas season, we are flooded with messages.  The challenge is to sift through it all and dwell on that which will help and encourage us, and eliminate everything else.

As we "Experience the Miracle of Christmas" be sure to take a few moments and focus on the "Miracle of the Message."

Hebrews 1:1-3 informs us that God sent Jesus Christ to communicate His message in a way that we can understand.  God speaks to us so that we can know Him and be drawn near to Him.

Despite the fact that God had spoken to man in various ways, His Son was the ultimate message!  And not only did God speak through His Son as being the "visible image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15), God also spoke through Christ in what Jesus said while He was here on earth.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order taht the world might be saved through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned already, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." (John 3:16-18)  "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31-32)  "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.  I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch htem out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.  I and the Father are one." (John 10:27-30)  "I am the resurrection and the life.  Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." (John 8:25-26)

Jesus came so that God could reveal Himself and His plan to us in a way that we could understand.  Jesus came to proclaim God's message that we can be set free from sins hold on our lives.

Allow God's Word to transform you and propel you to the greater things God has planned for you.  Don't allow one moment to set the standard for your life.  Make the "Miracle of the Message" your standard for life.  Also, make it the message you proclaim and live today!
