Steve and Pam Schenk

Steve and Pam Schenk have been serving as Awana missionaries for our part of Ohio. Awana is a children’s and youth ministry which began in 1950. Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed which is taken form 2 Timothy 2:15. The program helps children learn about the Gospel and memorize Bible verses in a fun and attractive atmosphere. The Awana program is directed and led by people in local churches, but is overseen and aided by the work of Awana missionaries, Steve and Pam Schenk. Among many responsibilities, they train leaders, evaluate and help clubs become the best they can be, and sponsor regional activities like Grand Prixs, Olympics, and Bible Quizzes.
